California is our home. I came to California as a young man with stars in my eyes in search of the California Dream.  I am blessed to have found it. Unfortunately for my children and many others, the California Dream has turned into a nightmare.  Millions of hard-working Californians, despite hard work and determination, are being prevented from reaching their potential. Not from a lack of trying, but from Sacramento politicians who have chosen special interests over what is best for all Californians. Years of failed policies have eroded accountability and trust in our state government. California has a history of being the greatest state in the country. However, it is not our politicians that make this state special, it is the people.  Californians are hard-working, innovative, and compassionate. Our government has been roadblock for those searching for their California Dream. It is time for a new direction.

For decades, career politicians have failed to solve the most pressing economic issues facing Californians. With rising taxes, rising crime, and an unaffordable housing market, California’s future is in jeopardy.

Californians deserve a Governor who will fight for the people instead of Sacramento’s special interests. As the Sheriff of one of California’s largest counties, I’ve seen first-hand the harm caused to our communities by California’s failed policies. The good news is that this damage is not permanent.  With new leadership, we can turn California around and return it to its glory of the past.
